Safeway Sign Company (SSC) has been powder coating sign materials, hardware, fasteners, and a variety of products since 1984. Powder coating is an environmentally friendly, sustainable coating that emits virtually zero VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) - a characteristic not shared by liquid coatings which often come with environmental warnings and health hazards.

Our specialty is the use of TGIC polyester powders, which offer the best outdoor protection against UV damage and wear. Our powder coating utilizes thermosetting qualities. After the powder is applied, the compound is melted and chemically cross-linked at temperatures between 320 to 390 degrees F. The result is a coating that is impervious to temperature, contrary to thermoplastics that soften when heated, even at relatively low temperatures.

We offer a multitude of custom powder coating colors. And can powder coat many products in various shapes and sizes. We have the ability to powder coat sheet metal up to 288" x 60", one of the largest capacities in the U.S.
